  • Author: Mia Parker
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

This flourless chocolate pumpkin torte is rich, fudgy, and smooth, made with semi-sweet chocolate, pumpkin puree, almond butter, and coconut milk. A naturally flourless dessert with a subtle pumpkin flavor and an elegant cocoa powder finish, perfect for fall gatherings and holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340g) semi-sweet chocolate bars, chopped
  • 5 (250g) eggs, large
  • ½ cup (130g) smooth almond butter
  • 1 cup (230ml) canned coconut milk (full-fat)
  • 1 cup (230g) pumpkin puree
  • ⅓ cup (110g) pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
  • cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the original recipe’s specified baking temperature. Prepare a suitable baking pan with parchment paper if needed.
  2. Chop the semi-sweet chocolate bars into small pieces. Melt gently in a heatproof bowl using a microwave in short intervals or a double boiler, stirring until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, almond butter, coconut milk, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, vanilla extract, salt, and optional espresso powder until smooth.
  4. Add the slightly cooled melted chocolate to the pumpkin mixture. Stir until the batter is evenly combined and has a uniform chocolate color.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  6. Bake according to the original recipe’s specified temperature and baking time, until the edges are set and the center is softly set but not liquid.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow the torte to cool completely in the pan.
  8. Carefully remove the cooled torte from the pan. Dust with cocoa powder before serving and slice with a sharp knife.

Notes

  • Use plain pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • Stir the canned full-fat coconut milk well before measuring.
  • Allow the torte to cool completely before slicing for the best fudgy texture.
  • The original supplied recipe did not include baking temperature, baking time, or pan size; confirm these details before publishing.
